Prem Ratan Dhan Payo gets a Diwali release
Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is officially set to hit screens this Diwali. The film, starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor and produced by Rajshri Productions and Fox Star Studios, is due to release on November 11th.
Talking about the project, director Sooraj Barjatya says, "Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor star in this complete family entertainer that we hope will tug at the heartstrings of audiences with the Indianness of love, and values it has in its core.” He further goes on to describe Salman’s character in detail, saying, “Salman is playing a character that he hasn't played in a long time. He is the quintessential Prem once again that audiences have loved and treasured in their hearts. We are gearing up with release strategies that will unfold soon."
CEO of the collaborators Fox Star Studio, Vijay Singh adds, "We are currently working on exciting marketing strategies to make the release of the Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer an event. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is a complete family entertainer. Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan have created magic with their movies in the past, made box office records and with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - a film that has its heart at the right place - this is the definitely the movie of the year releasing this Diwali."
The cast of this grand entertainer also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal, Armaan Kohli and Anupam Kher in key roles, with music by Himesh Reshammiya.
