Is Sooraj Barjatya Angry With Sonam Kapoor?
Sonam Kapoor will be seen in a traditional avatar in Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo opposite Salman Khan. The actress and fashion icon has reportedly irked her director by doing a bold photoshoot for the April cover ofVogue India.
Apparently, Sooraj has asked Sonam to steer clear of such pictures till the movie’s release as he feels that this would hamper the image of his film. A source adds, "Sooraj was quite upset by Sonam’s ultra-modern avatar on the cover which borders on risqué. In Prem Ratan…, the girl she plays is a far cry from the supreme seductress on the latest cover. He feels this sort of image will jeopardise her on-screen persona in the film."
Barjatya’s heroines like Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor and even Amrita Rao have always had very simple clothes and have been portrayed in a very respectable light.
